Boxes – Max Size Royal Mail Small Parcels
Product Description
The Royal Mail ‘small parcel’ regulations originally came into force on 1st April 2013. These stated that
the maximum external dimensions of a box must be 450mm x 350mm x 80mm, or alternatively 350mm x
250mm x 160mm, for the box to qualify as a small parcel. Both these sizes are therefore held in stock. A
further change was made on 1st October 2014, in which these sizes were combined, and the new regulation
states that the maximum size of a box can be 450mm x 350mm x 160mm to qualify as a small parcel. This
size is also held in stock. An exception to this rule is ‘cube boxes’ as long as they are less than
160mm x 160mm x 160mm. All boxes stated in the table above qualify as ‘small parcels’
when sent using the royal mail service, and have been manufactured to the specific
maximum sizes allowed under their regulations.
